As advertised. Charges fast with Galaxy quick charge products, it is not too heavy, and it stays absolutely cool when charging the unit or using it to charge a phone. Highly recommend.

I was excited to see the PowerCore Speed 20000 release because many previous battery packs I've owned just don't cut it. They may charge my phone once, maybe twice, but that's it - especially in demanding conditions and weather, and sometimes, you just need more peace of mind. That's where this Anker Comes in!The PowerCore build quality is rock solid, as always with Anker. In my testing, it never got hot, despite the massive amount of power stored within. And it is suprisingly not too heavy, thanks to Anker using the highest density and quality lithium-polymer cells on the market! The best thing about this power bank is the 20,000 Mah size. It can charge my iPhone 6 Plus a FULL 5-6 times, or a smaller phone close to 10 times! When out with friends / families on a camping trip or day trip, this is the peace of mind I need! It also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, which my friends with Android phones appreciate! The only thing to keep in mind is this pack is huge and will take a bit of time to charge - mine is full overnight using the 12 watt iPad charger. I would not reccomend charging it with a 5 watt wall block as it may take about 24 hours. It's not really a problem as I charge my gadgets overnight, anyways!Overall, this pack is solidly built and has great capacity. Anker provided me this sample at no cost as a review unit, and I highly recommend the battery to anyone who never wants to run out of juice!
      • Anker is the gold star of portable battery chargers!

This is probably my seventh or eighth external battery pack from Anker. I've gotten various capacity sizes from 3000mAh to 6500 to 13000 for different purposes and keeping it around different travel bags. It's an Ultra-High Capacity barretywith 20k mAH, it charges the iPhone 6 seven times, the Galaxy S6 five times or the iPad mini twice. This battery contains 20000mAh! So much power in a slim battery weighing just 13.9 oz! That's like a can of Soda! I used to keep a 13000mAh battery in my bag but this new battery is the same size and weight and has completely replaced it as my daily back up carry. It's perfect for extended hiking or camping trips or long road trips. I recently took it on a 3000 mile cross country road trip with me and it charged my entire family's devices with power to spare on a single charge! It also safely recharges with a 2 amp output charger and was charged from empty to full in about 10 hours. What I like about Anker products is that they have PowerIQ and VoltageBoost combine to deliver the fastest possible charge up to 2.4 amps per port or 4.8 amps overall. So I can revive a completely dead device to a couple percent in just a few minutes. It guarantees that I'll get as much power as possible as quickly as possible and be able to continue my life without being tied to a charger or a wall outlet. The added Qualcomm quickcharge technology is great too if you have a newer device that supports QC 3.0I also like that it is certified Safe: Anker's MultiProtect safety system ensures complete protection for you and your devices. I trust Anker's products and their use of a high quality korean battery cells than some cheap no name brand. These cells are new and highly efficient and safe. The price is well worth it and the safety of my family is not worth the savings of a few dollars. Spend your money wisely and buy an Anker product, you can trust it and sleep easy at night. In the box is: Anker PowerCore 20000 Portable Charger, Micro USB, travel pouch, welcome guide, 8-month warranty and friendly customer service. The only issue I found was that the travel pouch seems to be very big and doesn't fit the charger that well. The charger definitely goes in but there's a lot of extra room. Not a big deal as some companies don't even give you a travel pouch.

The Anker PowerCore *Speed* 20000 is a massively powered and well built external battery using Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 (backwardly compatible with previous versions) which will charge compatible devices with increased speed. The unit also features Anker’s own “PowerIQ” technology which detects and supplies the highest possible charge current that your device is capable of accepting. This could also speed up charging of devices that do not support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0The unit came packaged in Anker’s typical minimal-waste packaging and includes a USB to microUSB cable to charge the unit, a mesh carrying bag and warranty info. You can use the included cable (although it’s short) to charge an external device using the battery as well but if you need to use it with an Apple device, you need to supply your own Apple-Certified cable. The unit took a long time to charge itself using a 12 watt/2.4 amp charger but that is to be expected considering the size of this battery. It may charge quicker using Quick Charge 3.0 but I could not test that aspect of it at this time. It uses a series of four blue LEDs which indicate the amount of charge going into the battery (all will eventually light and stay lit when charge is complete) as well as indicating how much charge remains in the battery (LEDs will turn off as the battery is depleted). This unit is huge compared to the (already large) standard PowerCore 20000 with Quick Charge 3.0 at about twice the width and being a bit longer. Tapping the casing of the PowerCore *Speed* 20000 at the connections end reveals that approximately one half of the casing is seemingly empty and devoid of any actual cells inside. There may be additional circuitry inside but I cannot vouch for that since the unit would need to be opened to reveal anything positively. Maybe this empty space is reserved for future cells in a future, higher capacity unit or to dissipate heat created with the “Speed” aspect of this unit. Whatever the reason, I can only guess why but there is definitely empty space inside. The unit seems needlessly large for it's capacity (which is that same as the PowerCore 20000) with seemingly needless empty space inside. For that reason alone, I am knocking off one star. It’s a very solidly-built external battery which has a flat finish to it which I like much better than Anker’s previous “piano black” ultra-glossy finish. I feel this type of glossy finish should NOT be use on a battery pack...battery packs are utilitarian devices and not phones or show pieces. The battery performed well on all devices that I could charge with it (iPhone 5s, iPad mini 4, iPad air 2) and I was able to get at least two charges to the iPads and at least eight to the 5s before the battery needed recharging.Overall, yet another very solidly built and admirably performing external battery from Anker which will charge any device you may have.Disclosure: I was supplied with a sample unit for test and evaluation at no cost to myself. My review here is in no way affected by this and is based on my own experience and likes/dislikes with the product being reviewed.
            • High capacity with Quick Charge 3.0 together make it the bestt large capacity battery on the market.

I received a free sample of the Anker PowerCore Speed 20000 QC and here is my honest review.Every wants a high capacity backup battery. The Anker PowerCore Speed 20000 QC is definitely one of the top choices. There is always a trade off between size and capacity for an external battery. Anker PowerCore Speed 20000 QC is has a great capacity to weight ratio among all batteries. It weighs 14.1 oz which is only slightly heavier than my Anker Astro E5 16750 mah weighing at 12.8 oz. For the extra weight of 1.3 oz, you can more capacity as well as quick charge 3.0 charging speed.**Build and designThe battery size is typical for battery of this level of capacity. It's relative big but not bulky. It has a matte finish making it nice to touch. The build feels pretty sturdy similar to other Anker battery models. The package comes with the battery, a carry pouch and a usb cable. The only thing is that the including usb cable is thinner than the typical cable Anker used to include. However, this cable doesn't affect the performance of the battery at all.The battery has two USB port, one is the normal 5V 2.4A port with Power IQ feature, the second port featured Qualcomm Quick Charge technology. To me, this is the killer feature of this battery. There are 4 LEDs for indicating the battery level . There is a button on the side to check battery level.**PerformanceWhile charging with the normal USB port, current measures about 1.7-1.8 A max at 5V . This is pretty much the fastest you can charge for a non-quick charge charger (OEM or aftermarket chargers).Unfortunately, I do not own any quick charge 3.0 device. So I cannot comment on the performance of quich charge 3.0 charging. For my testing, I used a Quick Charge 2.0 device and other non-quick charge compatible devices. When using the quick charge 3.0 port on my Galaxy Note Edge (Quick Charge 2.0 compatible), battery was charged at 9V, 1.6A. Battery was filled up very quickly. This is very useful when all you need is a to partially charge up the device in a very short period of time. The total capacity measured was about 13988 mah. This is about 70% efficiency. A 70% efficiency is already considered pretty good for an external battery. There was no heat issue whatsoever when using this battery. The battery was barely warm even when charging two devices at the same time. While testing the battery, it took a lot of charging before the battery was completely depleted.Practically, users rarely start recharge their device when it's completed empty. Instead partial top-ups were done more frequently. In practical terms, I was able to do top ups a mixed of tablets, cell phones 8 times! These top ups were a mixed of complete recharge and partial recharges.Quick charge feature is extremely useful for travel when you want to quickly top up your device battery. Many times, you don't need to completely refill the battery but to top up a big chunk of your battery in a short time.So in terms of capacity, this battery is really a work horse. You can use is as a the sole battery for travel shared with the whole family. Bundle with the quick charge feature,**ConclusionAnker PowerCore Speed 20000 QC is work horse for the most demanding user. The quick charge battery together with the high capacity makes it one of the best high capacity external battery around.
              • Another Awesome Power Bank Brought To You By Anker.

First, this PowerCore is a little on the large side, and kind of heavy (mostly on the bottom end). It is 3 inches wide, a little over 6 inches long, and around 1/2 inch thick. This PowerCore is Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 compatible (blue USB port) and has Anker Power IQ technology (black USB port). You can charge two devices simultaneously.Inside the box you will find 1. the charger, 2. a charging cable to recharge the PowerCore itself, 3. a really nice large thick mesh carry pouch, and 4. the usual Anker insert cards. So, I tested this PowerCore on my HTC 10 with positive results. Upon unboxing, I turned on the PowerCore and noticed that it was less than 25% charged. After several hours of an initial charge, my test began. I was able to get 4 full charges on my HTC 10 which left less than 25% charge remaining in the PowerCore. I charge my HTC 10 when it reaches 20%. My charge times were as follows:Charge #1: 20%-100% 12:35 - 2:06 --- 91 mins with lite to moderate usage during charge.Charge #2: 20%-100% 7:44 - 9:09 --- 85 mins with lite usage during charge.Charge #3: 20%-100% 5:34 - 7:05 --- 91 mins with lite usage during charge.Charge #4: 20%-100% 3:06 - 4:29 --- 83 mins with lite usage during charge.Charging my HTC 10 with the wall charger that came with the phone typically takes 75 - 80 mins to charge from 20% to 100%.The PowerCore itself takes several hours to charge. After my 4 initial phone charges which left less than 25% power in the PowerCore, it took the PowerCore 9 hours and 8 mins to fully charge. To be fair, I did charge the PowerCore from a USB port on my laptop while the laptop was plugged in. I did not have time to deplete the power from the PowerCore again and try charging the PowerCore from a wall charger due to that fact that I needed to write my review within a week of receiving the PowerCore. While charging my HTC 10 and also charging the PowerCore, the PowerCore not once felt hot or warm. The device stayed cool and chill.Over all, this is a great power bank from Anker at a reasonable price. It's just what you would expect from the fine folks at Anker.DISCLOSURE: I received this product for free in exchange for my complete, honest, and unbiased review.DISCLAIMER: I am not affilitated in any way, shape, or form with Amazon, the seller, or manufacturer of this product.
                • A large but fast charging battery pack

I have or have used many devices with QuickCharge capabilities for a while now but have been using the standard PowerIQ batteries from Anker to charge them. The battery packs (especially the PowerCore 20100) have worked really well and charged my devices and my friends' as quickly as a non-QC charger could. There are times, however, that I want to fill up as quickly as possible when I'm on the go so I decided to give the QuickCharge batteries a try.The great things about this battery also applies to most of Anker's PowerCore series. They are built durably, good looking, lasts a long time, and Anker also backs them with a great warranty. In addition, in my testing, the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 have detected the charge to be QuickCharge and do in fact charge faster than the PowerIQ and standard charging.A couple of minor nitpicks include the size of the battery. It's huge. Practically twice the size of the PowerCore 20100. It isn't heavy, but if size is an issue you'll want to look at one of their smaller QuickCharge batteries. The outer casing, while matte, still scratches when placed inside my backpack. Despite the scratches that I don't notice anymore, the case itself is durable and hasn't show any signs of crack or dents. All in all, the PowerCore Speed 20000 QC is exactly what I wanted in a portable battery to throw in my backpack or hiking bag. It holds its charge for a long time, charges as fast as a smartphone can be charged, and is durable enough to keep up with my lifestyle.Anker sent me a sample in exchange for my honest feedback.
